Boehringer Ingelheim has released a new anti-hypertensive drug (TWYNSTA) containing a unique combination of telmisartan and amlodipine. Very often, hypertension sufferers take up to four drugs to reach an acceptable blood pressure (BP) more effectively. The single-pill combination drug is taken once daily and provides additional therapeutic and cardiovascular (CV) benefits.
