SCDM Leadership Forum

The Society for Clinical Data Management (SCDM) Leadership Forum will be held from March 15-17 in Nashville, US. Highlights include:

• Keynote speaker Rep Jim Cooper, instructor of health policy at Vanderbilt University and a healthcare policy adviser to the Obama presidential campaign, offers an insider’s look at healthcare policy trends and challenges.

• Tom Moreno, US Food and Drug Administration, will head a discussion on developing and applying risk management methods.

• Katherine Vandebelt, director of data sciences and solutions at Eli Lilly and Company, and Joseph Anderson, principal associate at Waife and Associates, will discuss effective leadership in the changing environment of clinical data management.

The annual, executive-level conference brings together CDM leaders representing various pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and contract research organizations.

With a theme of "Strategic Leadership in a Changing Environment", the forum focuses on preparing CDM leaders to meet the challenges facing the industry – including increased globalization, incorporation of technology and new government regulations.
