Rexam Pharma Expands Activities in India

Rexam is extending its plant in Bangalore, India, and expects to increase its production capacity by 50% in early 2009.
The company says it will be the first to manufacture child-resistant closures (CRC) in India. Developed for products requiring child–resistant packaging, the Argus-Loc is a two-piece, push-and-turn closure. Both the overcap and undercap are moulded in polypropylene.
At the same time, the company will open a Technology Center to supply Indian pharmaceutical companies with design and development expertise to boost product innovation.
