Porvair Expands Production of Sintered Porous Plastics

Porvair Filtration Group has started manufacturing its Vyon sintered porous plastics range at its US facility in Ashland, Virginia. The expansion of production is in response to increased demand and in order to enhance supply and support for OEM users in North America and Asia.

Available in sheet, tube, and almost any three-dimensional molding in a range of pore sizes (10-100 micron). These materials can be purchased for OEM products or can be integrated and packaged into finished products. Typical applications include filtration, solids handling, sound attenuation, battery venting and vacuum tables in markets that range from general engineering, aerospace and electronics to pharmaceuticals and food and beverages.
