ISPE Singapore Conference 2006

The ISPE Singapore Conference 2006 took place on 26 and 27 June at SUNTEC Singapore. Bringing together industry professionals and international regulators who shared experiences in the implementation of manufacturing systems and processes, it attracted 400 participants from 24 countries such as Australia, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia.

The objective of the conference is to provide industry players with relevant and up-to-date information on a wide range of technical, regulatory and business-related topics so as to achieve a competitive edge in the regulatory environment. In addition, it doubled up as an excellent educational and network platform for industry players.

Keynote speakers included Carl Fearn, Area Vice President of IMS Health, Australia; David Wood, PhD, Coordinator, Quality Assurance & Safety of Biologicals, WHO, Switzerland; Mike Naylor, ex Vice President of GSK Strategic Business Group, UK; and GV Prasad, Managing Director of Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, India.

The conference offered a total of nine tracks with more than 30 presentations complete with an exhibition featuring the latest pharmaceutical manufacturing solutions with over 150 exhibiting companies from 23 countries.

The nine conference tracks covered various aspects of the industry including regulatory, contract manufacturing, facility engineering, manufacturing excellence, secondary pharmaceutical manufacturing, process analytical technology, risk assessment and manufacturing opportunities, new technology, and biotechnology.

In addition, four workshops covered topics on inspection preparation, good calibration management, current regulatory laboratory systems and key requirements on USP water systems design.
