ISPE-PCC Awards New Industry Credential to Professional
Chuck Clerecuzio, P.E., CPIP, Vice President of AMEC E&C Services, Inc., in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania, has met the global competency standard and has been conferred the Certified Pharmaceutical Industry Professional (CPIP) credential by the ISPE Professional Certification Commission (ISPE-PCC) in April. (I guess “Plymouth Meeting†is indeed a place in Pennsylvania?)
He is one of the first seven professionals to be awarded this new certification and was assessed through demonstrated education, industry experience, and a rigorous examination.
The new credential offers the first competency-based international certification for pharmaceutical professionals and covers a range of competencies from drug product development through manufacturing.
The new certification offers enhanced credibility, peer respect and recognition, and greater opportunities for professional advancement.
Clerecuzio has been an ISPE member since 1998. He has a BA in zoology from Newark College of Arts & Sciences at Rutgers University, an MS in chemical and biochemical engineering from Rutgers University, and an MBA in finance and operations management from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He is a visiting professor at Rutgers University in chemical and biochemical engineering, and has authored numerous presentations and papers on such topics as cGMPs, technology transfer, project financing, and fast track project execution.
