Invida Inaugurates Corporate Headquarters in Singapore
Singapore-based transnational company, Invida Group, has reaffirmed its commitment to the Asia Pacific region. The company announced, at the inauguration of its corporate headquarters, the expansion of its regional partnerships and consolidation of its brands under a unified global brand, Invida. Formed by an alliance of investment partnerships, Invida – counts TLS Beta, an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Temasek Holdings, Quintiles, and The Zuellig Group, as their shareholders.
Invida subsidiaries - PharmaLink, Innovail, Transfarma and Innovex across the region are being integrated as Invida. Attending the event was guest of honour, S Iswaran, Senior Minister of State for Trade & Industry and Education.
Held at in Science Park One, the event drew over 150 guests at the inauguration ceremony. John Graham, CEO, said, “Asia Pacific presents opportunities with a projection of over US $1 trillion in healthcare expenditure by 2013. Fuelled by rapid urbanization, an ageing population, growing affluence and a rise in lifestyle related diseases, it is estimated that 40 percent of the world-wide pharmaceutical market will be in Asia by 2016.
Invida also announced the inking of an extended partnership contract with Swiss biotechnology company, Actelion. The contract which will run through 2015 involves the commercialization of Tracleer for the treatment of Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) in crucial markets throughout Asia in Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, and Hong Kong.
