Genevac: high capacity biological sample concentrator

For laboratories looking to concentrate larger numbers of biological samples presented in a range of different formats, miVac Quattro from Genevac offers the high capacity sample concentrator.

It rapidly removes a wide range of solvents, from volatile organic solvents through to water, making it the ideal system for concentrating samples in applications including oligo-synthesis, RNA/DNA preparation, peptide preparation, sequencing, molecular biology and ADME / toxicology research.

Incorporating a four-swing position rotor, it can simultaneously accommodate up to twenty shallow well microplates or eight deep-well plates, enabling significant increases in throughput and slashing drying times. A wide variety of available rotors means that it is capable of removing water and organic solvents from biological samples in a variety of formats including tubes, microplates, and vials.

Benefiting from a high displacement pump, it will typically remove water up to 40 percent faster than traditional concentrators and is quiet when in use. Solvent removal productivity can be further enhanced through addition of the miVac SpeedTrap refrigerated condenser. The compact size saves bench space. The miVac Quattro offers digital control of concentrator temperature and short concentration times, reducing the risk of heat damage to samples.
