DIA Names Worldwide Executive Director

The Drug Information Association (DIA) has announced the hiring of Paul Pomerantz as its worldwide executive director. Pomerantz will transition from his current position as executive VP of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) to worldwide executive director effective December 1, 2009. He replaces William Brassington, who has served as acting executive director since July 2008. Brassington will resume his role as worldwide director of finance at DIA.

Pomerantz will direct the organization’s global operations and strategic expansion and lead the implementation of the board of director’s long-term plan for sustainability and growth.
