Cevec Signs Agreement with Inno Biologics in Malaysia

Cevec Pharmaceuticals and the contract manufacturer Inno Biologics, Malaysia, have announced the signing of a strategic license agreement. This license enables the latter to offer the full potential of production of their diagnostic and preclinical grade material with authentic human glycosylation patterns using the CAP expression system.

CAP Technology is the stable producing human cell line from Cevec. The non-tumor origin cells have high expression rates of human proteins. They grow in serum-free suspension culture and post-translational modifications are human-like.

“Because post-translational modifications play a significant role for the bioactivity of recombinant proteins it is important to produce proteins with human-like glycosylation and sialylation”, says Rainer Lichtenberger, CEO of Cevec.
