Agilent Technologies has introduced the OpenLAB software portfolio, designed as a way for labs to efficiently capture, share, review and archive scientific data.
"Customers want solutions that reduce the time from discovery to delivery of a new chemical or biological entity," said Nick Roelofs, president, Agilent Life Sciences Group. "By providing solutions that support the evolution of existing systems and minimizing retraining, the portfolio protects a laboratory's investment and knowledge."
"OpenLAB is scalable, open architecture, based on industry open standards, that enables customers to easily capture, analyze and share scientific data throughout the lab and across the enterprise," said Tony Owen, senior manager, Software and Professional Services Marketing. "The portfolio resolves a number of software challenges that affect labs, and our open-systems approach means customers design the lab they want rather than having to work around their software systems."
The software consists of three integrated solutions: OpenLAB Chromatography Data System (CDS), OpenLAB Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN), and OpenLAB Enterprise Content Manager (ECM).
The system is designed to grow with customers' needs, from a small standalone analytical lab through a global network. It is instrument vendor-neutral and provides migration paths from existing systems, protecting customers' investments.
