Amsbio has announced the addition of the Oris Pro Cell Migration Assay to its range of 96-well cell exclusion zone assays for performing cell migration and cell invasion experiments.

The assay kit enables researchers to save time and cost by using automated liquid handling equipment for fast set-up of high-throughput assays. Researchers can now capture and quantify real-time cell migration data using microscopes, High Content Screening (HCS) and High Content Imaging (HCI) instruments.

The assay uses a Biocompatible Gel (BCG) to form a cell-free zone on culture surfaces. After seeding cells into the 96-well plate, the BCG dissolves permitting cells to migrate into the well centers.
