The partnership between the Association of Biotechnology Led Enterprises (ABLE) and Elsevier will provide a boost to the innovation efforts of Biotech SME (Small and medium enterprise) members of the former.

In June, groups of biotech SMEs met for the launch of the partnership in Bangalore. This partnership is about making available online, copyright cleared scientific content from Elsevier to the researchers at their desktops, in a timely and cost-effective manner, which is essential to R&D.

Shrikumar Suryanarayan, director general, ABLE said, "Biotech SME's have always needed the scientific information, but did not have resources for accessing it. Through the partnership, Elsevier's scientific information resources like ScienceDirect and Scopus will be made available to SME members of the association at a special price."
