Symyx Technologies extends eLearning service

Dated: 5/14/2008

To help scientists achieve maximum benefit from Symyx software, Symyx Technologies, Inc. has extended its eLearning service (Symyx Learning on Demand) to support Symyx Notebook, the new, enterprise Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN) that is adaptable to meet the needs of multiple scientific disciplines.

With the Learning on Demand service, scientists can obtain 'anytime-anywhere' training on how to plan, document and analyze experiments effectively in the Symyx Notebook environment.

Symyx Learning on Demand is an online, self-paced, '24/7' eLearning solution that provides up-to-date training on Symyx software via short, interactive simulations of typical tasks encountered in the software.

Using the service's online course catalog, scientists can select from a broad range of training modules suitable for beginning through advanced training, and they can tailor the training to their schedules.

For example, scientists can complete a single 10-15 minute module or a series of modules as time permits, even while working with the software application.

Customized training modules can be prepared to meet specific business needs, and specialized test modules can be developed to meet particular competency or compliance requirements.
