Ron van Dijk has been appointed as the managing director and vice president of West Pharmaceutical Services for the Asia Pacific region. He is permanently based in Singapore from January 2007.
This new regional position recognizes the strategic importance to West Pharmaceutical Services of the rapidly expanding region which has 50% of the world's population, two of the world's faster growing economies, China and India, and an increasingly growing pharmaceutical stopper market.
West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. is the world's premier manufacturer of components and systems used for the administration of injectable drugs, including stoppers and seals for vials, components used in syringe, IV and blood collection systems.
The company also provides products with application to the personal care, food and beverage markets. West's customers include the world's leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology, generic drug and medical device producers.
